About me

I have worked with families and young people for over twenty years and am committed to offering therapeutic support which is neuro-affirming and inclusive. I have personal experience of being part of a neurodivergent family and was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Before becoming a therapist I worked as a primary school teacher, which gave me valuable experience and insight into school experiences for children and their families and ultimately led me to retrain. I qualified as a play therapist with BAPT in 2019 and have worked with a wide variety of clients, an increasing majority of whom are neurodiverse. As I continued to work with play therapy clients, I found that many parents and carers were saying that traditional books and strategies were not working with their children. I therefore began to offer bespoke neuro-affirming support to parents and carers and undertook ADHD and autism training with Aspire. I now offer online therapeutic support to young people over the age of 11, bringing a creative and age appropriate approach from my years of work as a play therapist.

I work with young people 11+ as an integrative therapist and with parents/ carers as a support practitioner. I offer a tailored approach, integrating different ways of working to support each individual I work with. I work with parents, carers and young people entirely online, which suits many of my clients who prefer to be in the comfort of their own homes for the sessions. I create a creative, confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental environment where clients feel open to exploring their experiences in a safe space.
