About me
Hi, I’m Sarah.
I’m an accredited therapeutic counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a qualified ADHD Coach, and a Professional Member of the Universal Coaching Alliance (UCA).
My approach is person-centred and neuro-affirming, and it matters deeply to me that people feel understood, respected and supported.
I work with children aged 5+, young people and adults, and I also support parents and carers with therapeutic guidance and practical strategies.
My understanding of autism and ADHD is shaped by family experience and my own late diagnosis. This has given me a deep appreciation that everyone experiences the world differently, so I offer support that is individual, affirming and genuinely helpful. A formal diagnosis is not needed to work with me; my focus is on helping people understand their difficulties while building on their strengths.
I offer a collaborative and supportive space where people can process thoughts and feelings, build communication, social connection and self-advocacy, and grow in confidence while finding practical ways to make daily life feel more manageable.
I have had the privilege of supporting autistic children, young people and adults, as well as people with ADHD and dual diagnoses, in both therapeutic and non-therapeutic roles.
I have supported neurodivergent children and young people in educational outreach services, CAMHS, and as a school counsellor in Leeds and Kirklees. My early years, early education and AutPlay training also allow me to offer play- and sensory-based therapy in ways that feel safe and engaging.
I also have many years of experience supporting neurodivergent adults through NHS-contracted charity work and private practice.
I can also offer guidance and support through the neurodevelopmental assessment process.
My ADHD coach training allows me to offer therapeutic coaching, this is a combination of counselling and coaching, this gives a space to process emotions while developing practical strategies for the challenges you are facing.
I also support communication at work, including discussing support needs and recommendations in the workplace or during a work placement. I can also help parents and young people communicate a young person’s needs in education and share recommendations for support. I am passionate about helping people access the adjustments they need to thrive and reach their potential.
