Lucy Clarkson

About me

I am Lucy: Therapeutic Coach, Wild Walking Therapist, Holistic Psychotherapist, Coach to Highly Sensitive Humans, Shamanic Apprentice, Autistic, Hyperactive and Highly Sensitive Human.

I have always been a very energetic and insatiably curious person. From a very young age I would challenge and question everything, and some of my earliest memories are of a deep existential nature. My childhood was spent largely outdoors active in the natural world; exploring by foot and by horseback. I found sanctuary and healing with horses that embodied for me acceptance, sensitivity, freedom, grace and courage. Growing up I never liked small talk, and was fascinated by perception, meaning, semantics & consciousness. I felt everything and I could somehow sense what others were feeling which only fed my curiosity for truth and meaning. Socially I was awkward, never quite knowing what to say or when to say things. Studying psychology & psychotherapy gave me a direct insight into all the things I found curious and confusing. Today I create safe spaces for others to be seen, to be heard, to heal, to learn and to lead from their authentic self.

Ways of Working

I provide Neuro-kinship, Coaching and Psychotherapy for others to reflect and process, to understand what’s happened and to actualise changes they would like to make. My approach is less clinical and more existential which means I focus away from psychopathological, deficit-based perspectives, to a more affirmative and strength-based approach.

As a dual practitioner (Coach & Psychotherapist), I interweave psychotherapeutic practice with psychological and trauma informed education; heart based embodied coaching; the intersection of spirituality, somatic practices and consciousness; and I share stories of my lived experience which I hope brings a sense of kinship and ‘tribal connectivity’ to my practice.

I draw on different therapeutic perspectives but am deeply rooted in humanistic and shamanic values. Through my authentic and unmasked expression I hope to offer warmth, humanity and wisdom to enhance my clients general wellbeing, connectivity and conscious evolution.

Before taking a career break to raise and educate my children, I spent 8 years as a senior executive in the corporate sector. I continue to support sensitive, senior leaders in workplace environments with therapeutic coaching and conscious leadership, through my private practice and as an Associate for the Therapeutic Coaching Consultancy.
